Ovulation Test : Ovulation - Release of the ovum (egg) by the ovary. Ovulation is the culmination of the menstrual cycle. While the ovary is preparing an egg for ovulation, the lining of the uterus is being prepared to accept a fertilized ovum to begin the pregnancy. 

Several methods are used to assess ovulation and the "quality" of the eggs, which is often referred to as "ovarian reserve." It has been clearly demonstrated that as women age, both the number and quality of eggs continues to decline. This decrease is termed "reduced ovarian reserve" and is one reason why women in their thirties should not delay consulting an infertility specialist.

Through personal experience as well as research - it has been found that if you have sex near the time of ovulation your chances of conceiving are the greatest. Learning how to tell when your body is ovulating is the key. 

To determine when it is that you ovulate - you determine when your next period is due and count back 12 to 16 days. This gives you a the number of days when a woman most likely begins ovulating.
